Tips for Dads
1) Decide that this is very important for your family.
In life, we find the time to do the things that are important to us. To make a family sharing time work in your family, you may need to decide that this time is more important for your children than such things as television or computer games. For Christian parents, it is arguably more important than academic achievement. A child walking closely with God will experience God's blessing in all aspects of their life. (Seek ye first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you....Matt. 6:33)
2) Dad should lead.
The Bible teaches that the father is the head of the family. As the head, he should lead. Mother should only lead if there is no father, or if dad cannot be there.
3) Consider sharing over a meal.
If you have pressure on your time, this is particularly helpful.
